For 17 years running the Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival has been celebrating the tastes of Texas, from great Texas wines to the culinary delights of the Lone Star State, and this year the tradition continues in beautiful and unique downtown Fredericksburg.

Fall is harvest time in Texas, and if you're ready to sample the come-of-age wines of the state, this festival represents the perfect opportunity to relish the diverse flavors of Texas wineries. With an attractive wine-tasting program and special workshops planned for the real connoisseur, you can't beat a weekend in Fredericksburg in late October.

Held in downtown Fredericksburg, Texas, on Marktplatz (the 100 block of West Main Street). It is a full-course celebration of Texas food, wine, music, specialty booths, food court, and fun for all.

The list of participating wineries and vineyards is still growing, but included are Becker Vineyards, Bell Mountain Vineyards, Fall Creek Vineyards, Fawncrest Vineyard, Fredericksburg Winery, Grape Creek Vineyard, Haak Vineyards & Winery, Inc., Homestead Winery, Llano Estacado Winery, Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards, Lost Creek Vineyard, McPherson Cellars, McReynolds Winery, Messina Hof Winery & Resort, Oberhof Wine Cellars, Pheasant Ridge, Pleasant Hill Winery, Purple Possum Winery, Quivis Sister Creek Vineyards, Texas Hills Vineyard, Twin Springs, and Val Verde Winery.

Good wine calls for good food, and the Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest features the best in Texas culinary art as well.  The Great Expectations Cooking School, which runs concurrent with the Fest, will feature Texas a local chefs who will share of their favorite dishes with participants.
